Honey "Wildflower"

Honey "wild herbs" comes from the nectar of wild flowers, hence the name. Its flavor and composition changes with the season. What doesn't change is the endless list of benefits.

• When we consume honey as a sweetener, we may not realize that we are consuming minerals, vitamins and antioxidants. Honey is rich in vitamin C, vitamin B2, B3, B5 and B6, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium and zinc. All of this is vital to the body. Honey also has antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties. Simply put, consuming honey promotes digestive health, fights indigestion, strengthens the immune system, and protects the body against conditions such as heart disease and cancer.
  
• Field honey helps with coughs and acts as a sedative for sore throat. It is scientifically proven that honey helps those who suffer from upper respiratory tract infections.
• During allergy season, a few teaspoons of raw honey a couple of times a day will prevent allergy symptoms and help treat allergy symptoms.
• Field honey has antibacterial properties and therefore acts as a good healing agent. It heals wounds from abrasions, surgery, bedsores, infections and ulcers. It also helps with sunburn. The best part is that it leaves almost no scars. Wild honey is also an antiseptic and prevents the growth of harmful microorganisms.
