We have long been tormented by the idea of ​​getting to know you better, but we have always lacked ideas, inspiration and time to understand where to start. The last pages from Lena Gashynska, the founder of @ varenie.com.ua, inspired us to make a short survey, the results of which were pleasantly impressive. Impressed by your mutual desire to meet!

I am Roman Baka, I am 28 and it was from me that our almost 4-year history @ behoney.com.ua began.

In 2015, I worked in the banking sector as a specialist in lending to small and medium-sized businesses. Communicating with business owners, he had the opportunity to get acquainted and analyze the business of various areas and scales, ranging from clothing to 2-3 outlets in small markets, and ending with the supply of equipment worth tens of millions for the Ukrainian army. At the time, I met a young entrepreneur who had within 50 retail stores selling groceries (mostly sausages and pasta / milk). The history of his business has proved that you don't need crazy investments, a clear enough idea, a business plan for at least the first year and capital in the amount of UAH 40,000 to start your own.

Where did the idea to engage in retail trade - understood. Why honey?

My grandfather, Vasyl Oleksiyovych (there will be a separate post about him), as far as I remember, always had his own apiary and, in order to sell the fruits of beekeeping, he spent every weekend in Kyiv at the markets. Somehow, simply and without much thought, there was a desire to create their own business for the sale of honey, thereby changing the culture of its consumption. So, having $ 1.5 thousand on hand, the opportunity to develop a family apiary of my grandfather and a friend of the entrepreneur, who was willing to help by allowing himself to be represented in his network (about this in the section of the biggest fuck-ups), in July 2015, history of beHoney.
